LARPD Parks, Recreation, and Trails Master Plan Update

What’s Happening

LARPD is developing a Parks & Recreation Master Plan—a strategic blueprint that will guide the growth, maintenance, and enhancement of parks, trails, facilities, and programs over the next 10 years.

This Master Plan is a community-centered vision for Livermore’s future recreational spaces, helping LARPD shape its role as a Regional Park District and prepare for the evolving needs of a growing community.

Why It Matters

  • Establish a clear vision and goals for LARPD’s parks, programs, and facilities.
  • Develop a regional approach to recreation and park management.
  • Respond to changes in housing and community density, planning spaces where people live, gather, and play.
  • Provide a foundation for funding requests, including grant applications or future public support if needed.
  • Ensure parks, trails, and programs remain accessible, inclusive, and enjoyable for everyone.
