Sycamore Grove Park Current Trail Conditions
Trail Conditions effective 09/08/25 to 10/15/25.
Chevron Pipeline Relocation Project:
CPL is now preparing to remove the idled pipeline. This involves clearing vegetation across a 30-foot-wide corridor of Arroyo Creek. The idled pipeline section will be uncovered incrementally, cut into manageable sections and placed in bins for proper disposal. Once removed, crews will perform site grading and vegetation
will be restored per permit stipulations and in collaboration with Livermore Area Recreation and Park District (LARPD).
Timeline:
The project will take approximately 3-4 weeks to complete. Activities are scheduled from approximately 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (Monday-Saturday). Work will begin on September 8, 2025. All work must be completed by October 15, 2025.
Safeguards:
Chevron will implement a Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan that identifies potential sources of stormwater pollution at the construction site and establishes Best Management Practices (BMPs) to minimize pollutant discharge. A small crew will conduct site inspections through May 2026 to ensure BMPs remain effective and
operational.
