Picnic Reservation Fees

Additional Fees

The following is never allowed at LARPD parks and picnic areas

• Pinatas, confetti, water balloons
• Personal or commercial Inflatables
• Personal barbeques, campfires, bonfires, generators
• Glass containers, including bottles
• Driving or parking a personal vehicle on walkways or service roads
• Staking anything into the ground
• Carnival games, dunk tanks, unauthorized vendors
• Use of tobacco or tobacco-like products of any kind
• Use of Alcohol of any kind without a permit
• Animal rides, pony rides, and petting zoos  (Possible exception: Robertson Park Pole Barn Rental)

Standard 12x12 shade canopies are allowed; however, they must be secured with sandbags or water jugs.

Food Vendors

Food vendors are permitted when the following requirements have been met. 

• The vendor must have a current City of Livermore Business License.
• The vendor must have a current Alameda County Health Permit.

Insurance Requirements

Liability insurance is required for any reservation for groups of 41 or more.   

• The liability insurance fee is $200. It is based on the market rate and is subject to change.
• Insurance policies must be purchased through LARPD.  Personal policies are not allowed.

Leave No Trace

 All food, debris, litter, trash, decorations, etc., must be properly disposed of before leaving the picnic area.  

Deposit 

• A $100 deposit is required for all rentals and will be refunded if the site is left with no trace of debris, litter, trash, decorations, etc.
• Please plan to pack out whatever you bring in.  
• See the on-site ranger before leaving for questions about trash disposal. 

Hours 

• Rental hours include set up and take down.
• Daytime available hours: 8 am to park closing time*
  • RSPA site is used first and foremost for district programming, rental hours based on availability.
• Evening rentals: If you would like to rent the picnic area after hours, the rental can extend up to 2 hours after park closing time* for an additional fee of $100/hr.

*Park closing times change seasonally.  Call the ranger office at 925-960-2400 for more info.

• Parking can be limited (up to 23 spots plus 1 handicapped spot).
• Public restrooms are available on-site.
• The LARPD rules below apply to all parks and open spaces, including Sycamore Grove Park. 
• Alcohol is not permitted. 
• An extra insurance fee will be applied to groups of 41 or more.

In inclement weather, we will work with you to find an alternate date for your event.

Refunds will not be offered due to inclement weather, including poor air quality.
