Trails
Livermore Area Trails
A network of trails is growing in Livermore. Currently, there are two (2) main trails traversing town, the South Livermore Valley Trail which extends from Wetmore Road near Sycamore Grove Park, and the Arroyo Mocho Trail which combines the City of Livermore and Livermore Area Recreation and Park District's trail segments.
These trails connect to and take you through natural areas where you can enjoy colorful spring wildflowers, birds singing or beautiful vistas while walking with your family or your dog, jogging, and riding your bike or horse.
Opening Hours
Our trails are open year-round, Sunday through Saturday from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm, however, some portions of the trails that run through our Open Space parks are open from 7:00 am to sunset.
Pet Rules
Pets are welcome, but must be leashed at all times; your leash may not extend any longer than 6 feet in length and please be sure to clean up after your pet.
Maximum Speed
For your safety, wildlife live in these areas, it is always best to be aware of your surroundings while making use of our trail system. To ensure that all of our users conduct themselves in a safe manner and know the right of way, your maximum speed on our trails is not to exceed 15 mph; bikers and people yield to horses, and bikers yield to people.
