Ranger Program: Great Backyard Bird Count Bioblitz!

Ready, set, bird! Join Ranger Jay on a morning hike through Sycamore Grove Park during the Great Backyard Bird Count.  This count is a worldwide effort to help scientists better understand and protect birds by observing local species.

We will walk out to document the birds we see using the apps Merlin Bird ID and eBird.  It is not necessary to have these apps for the event, but they are a great resource for birdwatching.  This will be an easy hike along uneven trails, likely ~3 miles.

Bringing binoculars is highly encouraged; we will have limited binoculars available to borrow.

Canceled if raining.
