Join us for adult sports and fitness classes! Taught by LARPD staff and various independent contractors, these classes cater to all skill levels and provide fantastic opportunities to maintain fitness, socialize, and unwind.

Yoga Stretch -Studio

Deepen your yoga practice with greater connection to body, mind, and breath. This easeful yet focused practice will include a variety of body-mind exercises to bring flexibility, balance, and a sense of well-being. Mixed levels. Wear comfortable clothing and dress in layers for the warming and cooling parts of class. Please bring a sticky yoga mat. Contact the instructor at tmyoga@comcast.net if you have questions. Yoga for Fitness and Health

Yoga is another form of physical activity that brings numerous benefits to the body and mind in promoting well-being. It improves circulation, energy, posture, muscles, immunity, and mental clarity. Reduce stress, anxiety, weight, and injury. The class is taught to participants at a comfortable level and allows them to get to and from the floor.

Alignment-Based yoga is a wonderful way to focus on the mind and strengthen the body. It is known for the use of props (straps, blocks, blankets, bolsters, etc.) with an emphasis on body awareness and structural alignment as a way to deepen the mind-body connection. This class is more interactive and poses are generally held for a longer period.

Alignment-Based yoga is equally appropriate for beginning students, people recovering from injuries, as well as experienced practitioners.

This 75-minute, Alignment-Based Asana practice is led by an experienced yoga instructor with verbal instructions and demonstrations of poses with clear steps for entry into and exit out of poses with awareness, care, and focus. All poses are done with support of props, holding each pose longer, with focus on healing and therapy at physical, mental, and emotional levels.

The class works well for individuals with little to no experience in Yoga, at the same time, it provides the opportunity to deepen the practice for those with experience.
