PARK HISTORY
This park is named for the world heavyweight boxing champion who later appeared in films and on television. Max was raised in Livermore and won 84 professional fights from 1929-1941. The Max Baer plaque from the Bay Area Sports Hall of Fame is installed at the park entrance.
Max Baer is the home to Livermore's Little League Intermediate 50/70 Baseball World Series event.
This 11.8-acre neighborhood park is lighted and includes picnic tables, a dog park, a multi-use sports field, and two (2) baseball fields.
The dog park is located at the southeast corner, between the softball fields and Mendenhall Middle School; the fenced dog area is approximately 28,000 square feet.
