RAVENSWOOD VICTORIAN YULETIDE

We are currently seeking volunteers to assist at the Ravenswood Victorian Yuletide.

Volunteer at this family friendly event! Sensory Santa is a great opportunity for children with autism and other disabilities to meet Santa in a fun, inviting and sensory friendly environment! 

Families will sign up for a 10-minute time slot, to have uninterrupted time with Santa. There will also be crafts, sensory activities, light refreshments, and a chance to adopt a (stuffed) pet!  

We are looking for volunteers to help out at the food, craft, and game areas.  Experience with kids with disabilities is a plus but not a requirement!

Volunteers needed for the Great Yule Log Hunt

Grab your silliest holiday hat and join Ranger Eric for the 30th annual hunt for the fabled Yule Log! We'll prepare for the hunt with games, merriment, and tales of ancient Yule celebrations. Then we'll be off on an old-fashioned hunt for that elusive log. After the hunt, we'll gather around the fire with warm wassail and treats to make our own Yule logs to take home. Cancelled if raining.

Saturday 12/14 - Volunteers arrive at 1:45pm and stay until 4pm

They are seeking volunteers to help set up, run the carnival games, and help clean up the event.  There will be games, face painting, and holiday snacks.

Be sure to dress for the weather. This is an outdoor event.

Join the LARPD Rangers for a volunteer work day in the park every third Saturday of the month. From removing invasive plants to litter pick-ups to trail maintenance, volunteers will help maintain Sycamore Grove Park as a beautiful and healthy place for visitors and wildlife.

Participants will hike out into the park, possibly going off trail.

Please dress for being outdoors; sun protection and layers are recommended. Bring water as well! If you have gloves, please bring them. Otherwise, we have some spares we can provide.

Ages 14 and older.  Individuals and groups are welcome 

Native Garden Work Day at Sycamore Grove Park

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the Native Gardens at Sycamore Grove Park!  Our gardens highlight plants native to our area and their incredible ecological and cultural connections.  We are always happy to have volunteers help out around the garden, regardless of their experience with gardening and/or native plants.  Tasks change seasonally and include:

• Weeding
• Leaf Removal
• Mulching
• Planting
• Seed Collecting
• Pruning

We will provide volunteers with tools and gloves to work in the garden, but volunteers are more than welcome to bring their own tools and gloves.

Description of duties:

• You can visit any Livermore Park(s), pick up litter where needed, and report observations, including noting any necessary repairs.
