James E. Boswell is a long term resident of Livermore. He attended Livermore High School, Las Positas College, Chabot College, and University of San Francisco, graduating with honors.  His work history includes senior management positions at Bank of America, Apple Computer, Apple spin-off Connect Inc., and ADP. Most recently, he has been in law enforcement for over 19 years.  He is a rancher and a veteran having served in the United States Navy and Army Reserve.  In addition, he has a passion for sport.  He has been a competitive softball, baseball, soccer player, cyclist, runner and more.  He has coached men's softball and baseball and children's sports including soccer, softball, and additional programs.  He has an in-depth knowledge of finance, managing people, and being a steward of our land which translates directly into the parks and open spaces we use for recreation. He is passionate about providing opportunities for getting people more actively involved in programs to improve their lifestyle and well-being.
