LARPD Updating Playgrounds at Three Neighborhood Parks
LARPD announces the first phase of the Playground Replacement Program by installing new playgrounds at Jack Williams Park, Bill Clark Park, and Ida Holm Park.
Work began on April 22 and is expected to be completed by the end of May. As part of this ongoing program, LARPD aims to address deferred maintenance by prioritizing two playground replacements annually.
"These three parks were identified based on an evaluation of age and condition," said LARPD Parks and Facilities Manager Fred Haldeman. "The playground at Bill Clark was originally installed in 1985, while Jack Williams and Ida Holm were installed in 1999. This program is part of LARPD’s commitment to providing safe and engaging recreational spaces for the community."
The new playgrounds feature integrated shade structures, modern equipment designed with safety and fun in mind, and a range of play elements suitable for children of all ages.
LARPD would like to thank the community for its support and patience during construction. Once construction is complete, residents are invited to come and explore the new playgrounds.
These three parks will all be featured as part of the Livermore Public Library's Storytime in the Park series this summer, with Bill Clark Park on July 13, Ida Holm Park on August 3, and Jack Williams Park on August 10.
