Volunteer for California Native Oak Day Celebration (11/2)

Thank you for your interest to volunteer at California Native Oak Day Celebration. We are looking for volunteers to help with this event.

    Volunteer Expectations:

    • Volunteers will support Naturalist Candace and learn about careers in environmental interpretation.
    • Duties include helping with crafts, cooking prep (if the hike is canceled), and spotting questions or topics participants may be too shy to ask.
    • No nature knowledge required—just be helpful, observant, comfortable hiking, and ready to have fun! All volunteers will also help collect acorns during the hike (baskets or pockets welcome!).

    Notes:

    • This is an outdoor hike—dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes for dirt trails.
    • Bring a backpack with water, snacks.
    • Knowledge about oak trees is a plus, but just direct questions to Naturalist Candace.
