Camp Shelly @ Lake Tahoe
Tucked away in a pine forest near the south shore of Lake Tahoe, this intimate 25-site family-friendly campground offers spacious campsites in a beautiful setting. Opportunities for bicycling, swimming, fishing, horseback riding, and hiking are just minutes away.
Within the camp, visitors may enjoy a game of volleyball, horseshoes, or ping pong while the kids ride their bikes around the paved campground loop. Each campsite features a parking area, picnic table, fire pit with grill, “bear-proof” food locker, and a level spot for pitching a tent. Several sites can accommodate boats, tent trailers, and motor homes, while a few sites can hold vehicles or trailers up to 24 feet in length and 10 feet in height. Additionally, some sites can accommodate individuals with mobility issues. A brand-new central restroom has flush toilets, hot showers, and is mobility accessible.
Pets are welcome but must be leashed at all times. Wild animals are present throughout the campgrounds; therefore, guests are required to follow the safety rules and instructions provided by the Ranger staff at all times.
Camp Shelly is closed for the 2005 season. See you next summer!
Campsite Reservations will open in April 2026.
