“This event is a great way to kick off the holiday with some fun and fitness,” said David Weisgerber, Community Outreach Supervisor. “There’s a real sense of camaraderie as everyone, from competitive runners to families, can come together to break a sweat before hanging out with family and friends."
Stars and Stripes Spirit Award
As part of the event, participants are encouraged to show their patriotic spirit by dressing in red, white, and blue. The person with the most festive outfit will have the chance to win the Stars, Stripes & Spirit Award. This fun, lighthearted award celebrates the best in holiday-themed attire, with a prize for the winner that will be festive and fitting for the occasion.
LARPD extends its gratitude to Livermore’s Demitri's Taverna for their support as the Patriot Sponsor of the Independence Day Dash. Their contribution helps make the event possible and enhances the celebration of this important community tradition.

In addition to the morning races, the City of Livermore will host its 2nd Annual Fourth of July celebration at the Livermore Municipal Airport from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event will feature military aircraft, live music, food trucks, and a kids’ zone with activities like rubber duck races, face painting, and arts and crafts.
