Santa's Mailbox Returns to LARPD: Drop off your letters until 12/13

Livermore, CA – This holiday season marks the return of the annual Letters to Santa program from the Livermore Area Recreation and Park District (LARPD). From November 18th to December 13th, children and the young-at-heart are invited to send their heartfelt wishes and holiday greetings directly to Santa Claus.

Children mailing letters at a festive "Santa's Post Office" red mailbox.

Now a tradition in the Livermore community, the Letters to Santa program invites participants to connect with the North Pole. Be sure to include your name and address so Santa can send a handwritten reply. No postage is required—just the magic of the season and a return address for Santa’s elves to ensure delivery.

Where to Drop Off Your Letter

To participate, download the Santa Letter Template at www.larpd.org/letters-to-santa or use your own stationery to craft a special message. Then, visit the Robert Livermore Community Center's Recreation Building at 4446 East Ave, Livermore, and drop your letter into the giant red mailbox stationed in the lobby. The mailbox will be available through December 13th.

Share your holiday excitement by posting a photo of your letter drop-off with #LARPDSantaLetters on Facebook or Instagram.

Receive a Reply from Santa

Santa will personally reply to every letter as long as a return address is included! Letters must be received by 12/13 to guarantee a reply. Expect a special message from the North Pole to arrive before Christmas at the address you provide.

If you can’t make it to the mailbox in person, you can still sign up online at www.larpd.org/letters-to-santa to receive a personalized letter from Santa by mail.

LARPD staff member Nancy Larson shared her enthusiasm for the program: “The Letters to Santa program is such a fun tradition for our community. Every year, we’re thrilled by the joy and excitement it brings to families, and we’ve received so much wonderful feedback over the years. It’s an honor to help keep this holiday magic alive.”

Don’t miss out—be part of the magic and make this holiday season special with Letters to Santa.
