Winter Field Maintenance Closure Notice 

All LARPD Grass Fields are Closed for Winter Maintenance

Highlighted projects listed below

The Livermore Area Recreation and Park District (LARPD) is committed to maintaining and improving the quality and safety of our sports fields. As part of our ongoing efforts, we have scheduled important winter maintenance projects at Ernie Rodrigues Sports Field, Robertson Park Sports Field 3, and Max Baer Field 2.

Ernie Rodrigues Sports Field

Project Start Date: December 6, 2024
Estimated Completion Date: January 17, 2025

We are conducting planned maintenance to enhance the quality and safety of the baseball fields at Ernie Rodrigues. The work includes:

  • Leveling the infield for a more even playing surface.
  • Updating the irrigation system for increased water efficiency.
  • Adding soil amendments and materials to reduce weed and broadleaf growth.
Robertson Park Sports Field 3

Start Date: November 25, 2024
Estimated Completion Date: January 17, 2025

Our maintenance work at Robertson Park Sports Field 3 aims to improve the field’s performance and sustainability. The project includes:

  • Upgrading the irrigation system for better water efficiency and coverage.
  • Adding soil amendments and materials to mitigate weed and broadleaf growth.

 

Max Baer Park Field 2

Start Date: December 16, 2024
Estimated Completion Date: To be determined (subject to weather and personnel availability)

At Max Baer Baseball Field 2, we’re working to improve the infield and overall site appearance. Key upgrades include:

  • Leveling the infield for an even playing surface.
  • Installing new bleachers and backstops.
  • Improving pathways around the baseball field.
  • Adding soil amendments and materials to combat weed and broadleaf growth.
